I am a resident of Roosevelt Park for the last 15 years, looking to serve my neighborhood and maintain the wonderful community we have all worked so hard to cultivate. I have worked for the State of Michigan for the last 14 years as an Eligibility Specialist, serving at need families and individuals, and helping them solve some of the hardest challenges that life can present.

My daily life has consisted of working with everyday families who are working hard to make better lives for their children and themselves. No one's life or circumstance can be summarized in a sentence or two. Our lives are complex, and my experience of working with families has taught me that engaged listening is crucial to providing meaningful help to anyone that needs it.

Additionally, my time with the State of Michigan has honed great organizational and time management skills. My time as a parent has sharpened those skills to a fine point. I am able to juggle multiple responsibilities while giving each obligation the necessary time and attention needed for excellent results.

In addition to work experience, I possess a Bachelor's Degree from St. Olaf College in Northfield Minnesota. I also spent a year living and working in South Korea, teaching English as a Second Language. On occasion, I have proudly worked with local Community Theater Organizations to bring amazing art to our neighborhoods. All activities since 2021 have been supervised by my delightful, yet co-dependent cat.
Our City Government faces uncertainty in the face of potential economic fluctuations and aging infrastructure.

The uncertain economy effects any other challenge our city might face. Rising costs will affect any possible solution, and necessitate careful planning. The City's tax revenues are a precious resource of the community that must be managed diligently.

Aging infrastructure has been at the forefront of State politics for more than a decade. our city was built efficiently and proudly by amazing denizens of Roosevelt Park. That infrastructure must be maintained so as too avoid unnecessarily high replacement costs.
I will seek out the the advice and opinions of local experts and citizens alike. Our community is what we make it. If we assume the answers, our actions and results will fall short and be more costly in the long run. Actions based on opinion alone will be well intentioned, but fail the community more often than not.

However, this city is not just our community, it is also our home. Our home must reflect the people that live within it. An open dialogue with all those that call this city home is the foundation on which all decisions must be made. My personal home will be open to the thoughts and ideas of those individuals that reside here. Only by listening, can anyone feel truly welcome.
