The levy would cost $13 per year for each $100,000 of a home’s appraised value. Funding would support animal care, education programs, and maintenance of zoo grounds and buildings. A “yes” vote continues this funding for ten more years beginning in tax year 2025, which voters will see reflected when they file their 2025 taxes in Spring 2026. A “no” vote ends this source of funding when the current levy expires.
