Qualifications for Office I have the best interest of the students and staff in mind
I think one significant challenge is to ensure safety in the school district for the students and staff with today’s political climate. I would like to see measures put in place for not only staff, but the local law-enforcement that protects our schools for more training. Another challenge is to make sure that the community comes together for the students and also the staff of the schools.
Like I said with the previous question, I would like to see if there is ways to have staff in local law-enforcement involved in more training to protect our schools from outside individuals trying to harm our students. Ways to finance it or definitely have to be looked at by looking at the budget.
The role of school board member is to evaluate the superintendent, help with the district budget, set educational goals and serving the community as an advocate for public education. The key responsibilities of this office is to ensure that the school district is the best place to achieve it goals. The reason I feel that I am the best candidate one I still have children in the school district. Also, I feel that my knowledge could help with maybe starting new programs with the school district.
The ways I plan on engaging with the parents and community is to go to community meetings and PTO meetings and make sure the community know I am there for them.
Well when there are disagreements you have to listening to all sides and try to have the community know that decisions are in the best interest of the students, the staff and the school.

Qualifications for Office 26 years on Hamilton local Schools School Board
One of the most significant challenges I see is ensuring that our rapid growth as a community doesn’t outpace the support and opportunities available for our Ranger families, especially our students. With more families moving in, it’s important that we continue to strengthen our schools, provide safe spaces for recreation, and invest in programs that prepare students for success beyond graduation.
My top priorities are ensuring every student in Hamilton Schools has access to a safe learning environment, strong academics, and extracurricular opportunities. I also want to support teachers and staff by providing the resources they need. When it comes to funding, I’m committed to being fiscally responsible by carefully reviewing budgets, seeking grants and state funding, and building partnerships with local businesses to support programs without placing a burden on families.
As a school board member, I help set policy, approve budgets, and make decisions that impact student education. I work with the superintendent and district staff to ensure resources are used wisely, schools are safe, and community voices are heard in decision-making. With 26 years of experience on the Hamilton School Board, I’ve built strong relationships with families, staff, and partners, and have a deep understanding of both our challenges and opportunities. My long-term perspective helps me make decisions that benefit both our present and future schools.
I plan to engage with residents and community stakeholders by being accessible, transparent, and proactive in communication. That means listening to parents, students, teachers, and community members — not just during board meetings, but also at school events, community gatherings, and through regular conversations. My goal is for every resident to feel confident that their input is valued and that our school board is working for the entire community.
My approach to resolving disagreements and building consensus is to listen first, respect different perspectives, and focus on what is best for our students and community. Disagreements are natural in any group, but I believe they can lead to better solutions if we handle them with patience and open communication.
