I bring over 25 years of experience as a policy advisor to local, state and federal governments, with a strong track record of coordinating public policy across multiple jurisdictions. I have extensive experience working with local governments on budgeting, levy campaigns, and addressing constituent concerns, as well as ensuring public resources are managed responsibly. As an 18+ year resi
The most significant challenge facing Norwich Township is managing growth in a way that protects our community’s charm as we grow and our demographics shift. Much of our land is low-density today, but development pressure is increasing. When properties are annexed into nearby jurisdictions, too often township residents are left without a meaningful say in the terms of that development. I believe our trustees must be strong advocates who negotiate on behalf of residents, pushing for infrastructure that keeps pace and ensuring that new projects bring benefits to existing neighborhoods. My experience working across jurisdictions and negotiating zoning issues prepares me to make sure township residents always have a seat at the table.
My priorities as Trustee are clear: negotiate growth responsibly, protect fire and EMS services, and advance equity in local government. I will advocate for residents when land is annexed and infrastructure is built, ensuring development brings real benefits and preserves our township’s quality of life. I’ll fight for sustainable funding so our fire department continues delivering top-quality service to Norwich, Hilliard, and Brown Township. And I’ll lead inclusively, making government transparent, accessible, and reflective of all voices in our community.
When property owners choose annexation into nearby jurisdictions, township residents often feel left out of the process. As Trustee, I will be an advocate for our residents at the table, negotiating for infrastructure improvements like safe roads, pedestrian improvements, drainage, and public safety capacity, and ensuring new developments add value to existing neighborhoods.
I support a mix of low and higher density housing options that allow families, working professionals, and older adults to live here comfortably, while preserving green space and maintaining property values. By collaborating with other jurisdictions Norwich Township can grow responsibly without sacrificing what makes our community unique.
I believe local government works best when residents feel their voices truly matter. As Trustee, I will make engagement a priority by holding open, accessible meetings and creating clear, transparent channels for feedback. I will be proactive, meeting people where they are, including community events, neighborhood meetings, or through digital platforms that make it easy for residents to share concerns and ideas.
I’ll also build strong relationships with community stakeholders, like schools, faith communities, businesses, labor, and regional partners, so decisions reflect the full picture of our township’s needs. Most importantly, I will listen. My role is to advocate for residents, and that means ensuring every decision we make is informed.
My approach to building consensus starts with listening first. Every stakeholder brings valid concerns, and I believe it’s my job as Trustee to create space for those voices, identify shared values, and find common ground. When disagreements arise, I focus on transparency and facts, laying out the impacts of different options and openly discussing trade-offs. With experience negotiating zoning and policy issues across jurisdictions, I know success comes from persistence, fairness, and keeping community benefits at the center. Consensus doesn’t mean everyone gets all they want, but it does mean every voice is heard and the outcome serves the township as a whole.

Norwich Township does not stand alone as an entity even in the unincorporated Township. Trustees need to have good working relationships with Township residents, employees and surrounding government leaders at the adjoining Township, City and County levels. This requires problem solving, and going beyond statutory duty to address safety costs, traffic issues, and property density and valuation issues.
The Township Trustee position goes beyond just the statutory responsibilities of the Township itself. As a Trustee it is important to have healthy working relationships with elected officials at the County, City of Columbus and City of Hilliard levels as well as surrounding townships. The goal of any elected official should be to listen and learn and try to problem solve for our residents.
I will focus on resolving problems by listening, learning, identifying what the key issues are for our residents and address those issues with surrounding governmental partners proactively. Norwich is not an island and relationships and problem solving are key to addressing key issues.
