I am a current elected official, with deep public service roots serving the reynoldsburg community through a number of local Reynoldsburg boards, and community events. I regularly attend council meetings and am aware of what is going on in the community and what the needs are with our constituents.
In addition to addressing general health and safety in the community, I am specifically looking to improve infant prematurity and vitality rates in the 43068 zip code, as well as improving teen and senior relationships in the community. Our community needs support at all stages of life in order to our community to thrive. Strong families make a strong community. Bringing the community together through community baby showers, grandfriend relationship building and wisdom collectives is how I would like to bring the community together. Additionally, utilizing the parks and recreation department and the senior citizen center for collaboration of young, teen, young adult, and older adult for programming will bring the community together often.
Primary priorities include healthy starts for moms and babies, safe walkable neighborhoods, smart economic growth that promote wellness, and connections for youth and seniors. Financing of these initiatives would come from local, city, county and state partnerships as well as collaboration with private and non profit groups
Reynoldsburg is forward thinking with working on providing affordable housing and has built multiple housing units across the city since 2021. Reynoldsburg is tasked with making sure that street, sewer, and schools are able to keep up with the growth. This is where the smart economic growth initiatives are most relevant, so that new business and development opportunities don't exceed our local capacity for traffic, utilities, public schools, public safety and law enforcement. Ongoing townhalls, and education via council meetings, newsletters, city website, etc., on city planning is key to informing the community of predicted and actualized Central Ohio population growth, and Reynoldsburg's role in it as a first ring suburb to Columbus.
I will be out and about at various community events, share information via the city website, social media, and will offer virtual office hours on a regular basis to hear from constituents. The mayor has a weekly show that council can also share information. It is an interactive show, where stakeholders can ask their questions live and receive answers immediately. I will continue to support that community outreach.
I will also meet with Ward reps regularly to hear what they're hearing from their ward community.
Listening is the key. Disagreements will happen, but we have to keep in mind that we are here to represent all of our stakeholders, even if there is dissent in opinion. It is important to work collaboratively, and remain engaged in order to come up with solutions that are best for the community as a whole, not just one group of stakeholders. I will identify who the leaders are of various groups so that I can actively engage in dialogue, hear concerns, and move forward collectively to address concerns. I will also work with the rest of council to assist in hearing community concerns and address them collectively.

Two term- Reynoldsburg City Councilmember • Chair: Finance Committee • Reynoldsburg representative: West Licking Joint Fire District Board
The City of Reynoldsburg faces two primary challenges: addressing its aging infrastructure, including the city roads, sewers, water, and gas pipelines—and fostering sustainable economic development for its residents. One key focus area for infrastructure upgrades and economic investment is the Livingston Ave-Brice Rd corridor, which has been identified as a priority for reinvestment. Along, with upgrades to Main St in downtown Reynoldsburg.
During my tenure on Reynoldsburg City Council, my focus has been on neighborhood safety and the implementation of a broad economic development plan. Funding for these initiatives is provided through City of Reynoldsburg income taxes and government grants allocated for community programs, including the Woman, Minority and Veterans Grant and the City of Reynoldsburg infrastructure initiative.
To address the growing population in Central Ohio, the City of Reynoldsburg should prioritize the development of affordable housing. By investing in such initiatives, Reynoldsburg can foster a diverse housing market that meets the needs of incoming residents seeking to establish long-term roots and raise families within the community.
Involving community members in a decision-making processes that affect them is crucial, especially for promoting empowerment and cultivating a sense of inclusion. Conducting consultations from the outset allows local needs and resources to be incorporated effectively into planning and implementation. One effective strategy for encouraging participation is to establish a community forum or workshop aimed at gathering meaningful input on municipal matters.
My method for building consensus amid disagreements relies on initiating a structured dialogue rather than engaging in one-sided discussions. This approach creates an atmosphere in which stakeholders can effectively share their viewpoints and concerns, ensuring that all voices are acknowledged. It also promotes collaborative plans to address underlying issues. By prioritizing negotiation and clarifying core areas of conflict, it is possible to establish common ground and reach mutually acceptable solutions that reinforce relationships among all parties. This strategy is particularly critical when managing complex matters related to city governance. Involving the community in the decision-making process helps prevent misconceptions.

Infrastructure and safety are keys to all communities. The growth in Reynoldsburg has created challenges. We have had such a demand on, and for housing, that the population growth has put more pressures onto the community services. Tax dollars are investments by the community. We need to be sure those dollars are focused on improving our community. One of the most common concerns people have are about traffic in town and paving in their neighborhood. We have to be sure we are maintaining what we have and looking for opportunities to develop ways to ease transportation.
We have to continue to support our Reynoldsburg police. Safety is always the most important issue and I will always look for ways to grow and support our officers.
Quality of life for our residents is what they need, seek, and expect. Our role as council members is to serve and represent Reynoldsburg. I do my best to listen and learn from all residents and find the common theme our community expects. Priorities always begin with safety. I appreciate our officers and their mission to protect and serve our community. Residents want their streets improved and maintained. And we need to continue to provide quality programs through our Parks and Recreation department. We've always provided many programs from sports to gatherings. The last several years we've seen a growth in those that residents have come to appreciate and enjoy.
Respect and opportunities for all our residents is always my focus.
Reynoldsburg has directly felt the population growth. Reynoldsburg has already added a significant amount of housing. We've always been an affordable hard working community. With this growth, we've seen the community stretch the resources of government, but more importantly families. Our schools have struggled to get funding and finding ways to place all the new students they've gained. But the demand on families to support additional funding is difficult. Our schools have to be a foundational discussion when we talk about growth. Supporting our direct current needs must be met as growth continues. As see seek affordable housing and quality of life we have to invest into our foundational essentials.
I have spent my entire life living, volunteering, and working in the community. I am a very active person and love talking about Reynoldsburg. I engage in conversations from the grocery store to city hall. Being so present and active helps me continually connect with many people.
I’m very fortunate to serve a diverse population of residents through my occupation in our community as well. I care for families from all backgrounds. This opens opportunities to connect in very genuine ways. We build relationships that allow us to understand what is happening in their lives and gives me insight to better represent their needs. I've always worked hard to respect every person and believe deeply in service above self.
Our world has allowed differences to divide us. When the focus is on what separates us then people naturally build walls toward others. They will create barriers which all builds mistrust, anger and resentment.
Though we certainly have many differences, we share a tremendous amount of common ground. Focusing on the common ground is a very important step in working together. I listen to everyone and look for areas we agree. I talk openly about areas we disagree and try to understand those differences. Then my goal is to maximize my efforts on the common ground and find a way that we can agree.
We can’t be afraid to talk about our differences. But it has to be open, honest and respectful. Then work together on the common ground.

I am a resident of Reynoldsburg, I met the age requirements, desire to support our community, desire to be a voice for the community, current serve as Chair of the Public Safety, Law & Courts Committee,
One of the main concerns that I hear from my community is traffic. I have gone on walks with our Mayor and listened to resident complaints about speeding in the neighborhoods. We are current doing traffic studies and we are in partnership with the Reynoldsburg Police Department to have more patrols in residential areas. We have been adding lighted stop signs in areas, placing speed monitors to help residents be aware of how fast they are traveling, and instituted “speed blitz” days with targeted traffic enforcement. A second concern that has been shared is the conditions of the roads/streets here in Reynoldsburg. We are actively working here in Reynoldsburg to make active repairs to our roads, curbs, and sidewalks it is a priority.
One of my major concerns/priorities is providing support for our Senior community. I have spoken with our Franklin County Auditor regarding programs that are available for our homeowner 65 and over such as information regarding the Homestead Exemption and we are working on setting up workshops here in Reynoldsburg to share this information. We have recently added transportation opportunities for our Senior residence
Reynoldsburg is a city that actively supports affordable housing. We recently approved selling land for a affordable housing project. We have been building and approving new housing projects since 2020. Our Mayor is a champion for housing for all income levels.
It has been my joy and privilege to represent my community with volunteer opportunities, community talks, neighborhood walks and provide my information for phone calls, emails, or text messages. As a Councilwoman that represents the entire city I want to make sure we are responsive and proactive with all of our community members.
The greatness of community is most accurately rated by the compassionate actions of its members. As a public official you represent the whole community – regardless to Race, Gender or Political Party it is your responsibility to ensure all voices are heard. Create a common ground for all parties to openly discuss their concerns to brainstorm solutions and find a mutually agreeable decision to that situation.
