Occupation Dublin City Council Member, Retired Business Executive
Education MBA Harvard Business School; BS University of Arizona
Qualifications for Office Dublin City Council Member for 8 years; Dublin Vice Mayor for 4 years; a 30-year Dublin resident who has both worked and lived in Dublin.
Dublin is a city built on a strong heritage and continuous innovation. City leadership strives to protect and enhance our existing assets and natural resources, while also pursuing new services and amenities that strengthen community life and support long-term economic vitality. With slower economic growth forecasted, but robust population growth expected, balancing City revenues with our many funding needs will be a key challenge. To meet it, I will continue to ensure your City Council leads with prudent financial policies and sound planning—utilizing thoughtful land-use planning, clear program prioritization, continued economic development excellence, and decisions shaped by active community input.
During my eight years on City Council, we have pursued a balanced set of strategic goals—preserving our parks and green spaces, launching new resident services, and readying our economic hubs for the future. Looking ahead, I will continue to support this balanced approach by focusing on key projects such as the revitalization of our Metro Center business park, developing a premier sports facility following our recent acquisition of Sports Ohio, and creating a Signature Trail, an innovative biking and walking trail that will connect residents with amenities across Dublin. These priority initiatives will be funded by a financing model that incorporates partnerships, prudent debt-financing practices, and a phased implementation approach .
Dublin has taken a proactive approach in addressing future infrastructure and housing needs. City Council commissioned a housing study to complement a MORPC regional study, which highlighted the need for more diverse housing options, areas of greater density, and investments in transportation. Projects like Bridge Park and the upcoming Metro Center revitalization program reflect this vision, adding mixed-use, higher-density developments that strengthen our housing stock while integrating employment and lifestyle amenities. I will also continue to support Dublin's partnership in the LinkUS initiative to expand transportation options to and from Dublin—ensuring that housing, employment, and mobility work together to meet resident needs.
As an 8-year City Council Ward Representative, and a 30-year Dublin resident living in the neighborhood I serve, I have a deep understanding of our community’s needs and concerns. As an avid cyclist, I’m out nearly every day on our paths and in our parks speaking with neighbors and listening to resident needs. I am proactive in addressing the issues raised and regularly reach out to residents and community stakeholders to gather their perspectives on proposed plans and actions. I also strongly support the work of Dublin’s Outreach and Engagement team, which is dedicated to involving residents in planning, programming, and activities, and finding new ways to connect with our diverse and growing community.
Dublin is a community that spans three counties, includes one of the largest school districts in Ohio, and borders municipalities experiencing rapid growth. Our mutual success depends on strong partnerships and communication. One of the best ways to manage disagreements and build positive relationships is through regular dialogue, idea-sharing, and joint regional planning. I am actively engaged in regional meetings with representatives from our neighboring cities, townships, and school districts. I will continue to participate in joint community and regional planning efforts, attend community meetings, and work to foster the strong working relationships I’ve built with community and regional leaders.

Strategic Growth in Dublin's most significant challenge. We need to engage the public as much as possible during the process, while balancing priorities.
Work towards goals laid out in the Envision Dublin Plan. These include the new sports complex, revitalization of Metro Center, and passenger rail system. Increasing and retaining high earning jobs are important to financing these priorities.
I feel we will need to continue to invest in passenger rail systems that will take the strain off of our roadways. The Metro Center revitalization efforts will include additional residential options to increase this supply
Regular in person interaction is the best way to engage residents.
It is important to listen to all groups involved. Ensuring the conversation is centered around goals is critical in keeping the dialogue productive. When goals are aligned, compromises can be made to achieve them.
