I hold a Bachelors Degree in Business Management. With that, I bring over 20 years of experience in document and records management, overseeing regulations, and improving how offices run day to day. I’ve built a career on making systems more efficient, cutting waste, and embracing smart technologies to save taxpayer dollars while improving public access and transparency. I have a history of working with government at the state and local levels to ensure that customer data is protected, secure, and compliant with all laws and regulations.
The City Clerk’s Office faces several challenges such as managing secure, accessible elections, improving public records access, adapting to new technology, and maintaining public trust. To address these, I propose expanding voter education and access, modernizing the digitization process for all records, enhancing cybersecurity, increasing transparency through community outreach, and investing in updated staff training and materials. By modernizing systems and engaging residents, the Clerk’s Office can better serve Kentwood’s growing, diverse population while upholding integrity, trust, and efficiency.
As a current employee of East Kentwood High School, I plan to use my contacts to integrate a voter education program to students across our diverse population. I plan to do the same with the rest of our community, through the creation of multilingual education materials. I plan on hosting outreach events in our community as well.

I also plan on modernizing the access to public records. I will use my experience working in document and records management to upgrade databases, digital storage systems, and search capabilities. This also includes the streamlining of the FOIA requests.

I will also increase transparency of the City Clerk's office by improving communication via social media sites as well as strengthening office response times
