I’ve spent my career bringing people together to solve problems, grow responsibly, and make lasting investments in our community. With a finance degree, an MBA in economics, and 25 years of leadership in finance, strategy, and small business, I’ve learned how to turn vision into action. From leading finance at an architecture firm to guiding growth at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center and running a five-store Sport Clips franchise, I’ve combined strategic thinking with empathy. I’ve also served Madison through zoning, the YMCA, my church, and youth programs. I’m running to bring practical leadership and a people-first mindset to Madison’s future.
Madison feels safe and that’s why people love it. But as we grow, maintaining public safety will require smart planning, investment, and strong community partnerships. I support well-funded police, fire, and EMS services, with modern tools and training. I believe in community policing, public input, and transparency. I’ll also advocate for mental health support, proactive homelessness strategies, and safety-conscious infrastructure. As a CPR advocate, I want more residents trained and prepared. Public safety isn’t just about response, it’s about connection, compassion, and leadership that listens and acts.
Public education is vital to Madison’s success. As a parent of two Bob Jones grads, I’ve seen how great schools shape strong communities. While the City Council doesn’t run our schools, we play a key role, through smart growth, strong budgeting, board appointments, and safe infrastructure. I support renewing the ½ cent sales tax and reducing retail leakage to boost funding without raising taxes. I’ll advocate for city planning that considers school growth, grow school-business partnerships, and expand volunteerism. I’ll be a Council member who listens, supports, and champions our schools at every opportunity.
Madison is at a crossroads. As we grow, we must plan wisely to protect what makes our city special. My vision focuses on smart, balanced growth, expanding our tax base without raising taxes, investing in infrastructure, and supporting strong schools. I’ll work to increase investment along Madison Blvd and Downtown, support local business, and improve traffic flow and greenways. I’ll prioritize public safety, and inclusive planning, while collaborating with schools, nonprofits, and regional leaders. I’ll listen, learn, and lead with integrity to ensure Madison thrives for generations to come.
Transparency and public trust go hand in hand. If elected to Madison City Council District 6, I’ll champion reforms that make city decisions easier to access and understand. This includes a clear, user-friendly website, a searchable voting record database, and financial dashboards that break down where your tax dollars go, no finance degree required. I’ll hold regular town halls, post meeting summaries, and make myself accessible year-round. Madison deserves leadership that communicates clearly, invites public input, and puts transparency at the heart of every decision.
I will support the enhancement of government efficiency including the streamlining of processes and expansion of online access to services. By digitizing forms and automating workflows, we can reduce bureaucratic waste, cut costs, and make it easier for users to access what they need quickly and conveniently.

As a former Army civilian engineer and current small business owner, I bring over a decade of experience in problem-solving, budgeting, and strategic planning. I’ve led working groups, managed projects, and maintained budgets and schedules, which are skills that I believe are directly transferable to city governance. My service as a volunteer with youth, hospice patients, and civic groups has deepened my commitment to community, and I’m running to lead with integrity, serve with heart, and deliver results that matter.
Public safety starts with strong relationships, and I have begun that process by meeting with local officials and listening to residents. I plan to support our police and fire departments by ensuring they have the resources they need to protect our growing community. I will prioritize regular engagement with our first responders, advocate for competitive pay and training, and work with neighborhoods to improve lighting and walkability throughout District 6.
I’m committed to working closely with Madison City Schools and the Board of Education to maintain the high standards our families expect. Regular and clear communication and collaboration between the City Council and the Board of Education is key. I will advocate for responsible city growth that keeps pace with school capacity, protect funding mechanisms that support our schools, and ensure that every family across Madison can access excellent educational opportunities regardless of the specific needs of the child.
My vision is for balanced, sustainable development that strengthens infrastructure, protects green spaces, and supports both new and existing businesses. I believe we must grow in a way that complements our community’s character, relieves traffic (through the continuation of sidewalks and addition of bike and walking paths), and preserves Madison’s high quality of life for future generations.
I will advocate for increased communication between the Council and residents through regular town halls, online updates, and clearer budget explanations. I support ensuring public comment is welcomed and respected, especially before a final decision is made. I also plan to be present and accessible in the community and listen - not just during election season, but all year long.
Knowledge is power. Understanding the greatest areas of improvement regarding accessibility would be high on the list of my priorities, and I’d welcome feedback from residents and city officials alike to inform my decision making. Improving accessibility means meeting residents where they are. I support digital tools that make it easier to access permits, pay bills and report issues. I also believe in offering multilingual resources, improving ADA compliance, and partnering with community organizations to ensure all residents - regardless of age, ability, or background - can engage with city services effectively.
