Lehi City operates under the six-member form of government. The elected officials, including the mayor and five city council members, operate as the policy making and legislative authority for the city. They each serve four-year, staggered terms and are elected at large. In 2025, the following positions will appear on the ballot: Mayor and two seats for City Council with terms commencing January 2026 and ending in December 2029. A Primary Election will take place August 12, 2025 for both races, followed by the General Election on November 4, 2025. This year s election will not use ranked-choice voting.

In the short term, we need to fix Lehi’s east-west traffic bottlenecks. Growth has outpaced our roads, impacting daily life and emergency response. I’ve already helped secure funding for key projects like the 2100 North I-15 interchange and Pioneer Crossing widening. As mayor, I’ll lead a Transportation Task Force to align efforts between the city, UDOT, and developers to deliver real results.
Long term, we must plan for growth more responsibly. That means making sure new development fits our infrastructure, protects our neighborhoods, and preserves the character of Lehi. I’ll hold firm on zoning and ensure developers follow through on their commitments.
I support practical measures that expand opportunity without compromising Lehi’s character. That includes thoughtful infill development and holding developers accountable. New development must pay its fair share for roads, utilities, and services so that existing residents aren’t left footing the bill. When infrastructure keeps pace, housing remains more affordable for everyone.
Homeownership is still the best path to long-term stability, and we can do more to help first-time buyers and local workers compete in a tough market. That means working with lenders, nonprofits, and state partners to expand access without sacrificing quality.
Lehi’s growth brings both opportunities and challenges. We need to grow with intention, not momentum. That starts with aligning growth to infrastructure by making sure roads, utilities, and public safety services are in place first. I support stronger buffering where new development borders established neighborhoods and updating our zoning code to protect existing property owners as infill occurs. Preserving Lehi’s rural character means more than open space. It includes historic homes, established neighborhoods, and access to trails. I’ll continue to support policies that protect those assets while planning responsibly for the future.
Lehi doesn’t exist in a bubble. Traffic, growth, air quality, and infrastructure all cross city boundaries, which means we need strong coordination with neighboring cities, Utah County, and regional partners like UDOT and UTA.
One of my top goals is to establish a regional transportation task force that brings together city officials, UDOT, UTA, and developers to coordinate timing, funding, and long-term planning for roads and transit. We need to make sure infrastructure keeps pace with growth both within Lehi and across the region.
I also support greater collaboration on housing, open space, and emergency response planning. Good regional policy doesn’t just solve today’s problems. It helps prevent tomorrow’s.
A sustainable future for Lehi means thoughtful planning that balances growth with quality of life. It means protecting what makes Lehi special: our neighborhoods, open space, and strong sense of community, while investing in the infrastructure and services we need. I’ve worked to align development with water, utility, and public safety planning. I’ll continue supporting updates to our master plans, requiring developers to pay their fair share, and ensuring long-term costs are part of every decision. I also support preserving open space, protecting water resources, and expanding trail and recreation access through smart land use and conservation partnerships.
