As a longtime City Council member, I’ve worked to attract businesses, grow our economy, and keep property taxes low. I’ve always supported smart, respectful growth that preserves the character of our city and includes parks and open spaces for families to enjoy.
I strongly support our police department and will ensure they have the resources needed to keep our community safe. I also believe in supporting our city employees and improving communication between leadership and residents.
Pleasant View is a place where neighbors know and support each other. As Mayor, I’ll work hard to protect that spirit and ensure our city remains a great place to live—for today and for future generations.

By law we have to have a balanced Budget. I will work with the department heads to submit budgets that meet the needs of the city. I am a conservative when it comes to spending. I will look for ways to save money, in these departments. so we can start to fix our roads and beautify our parks and walking paths.

I love serving in my community and I love Pleasant View and working with the residents who live here. I want to help build a vibrant and sustainable city, that is proactive and forward thinking in working for our residents, taking care of our needs and planning for the future.
-Proactive Planning for residential growth and commercial growth. We currently do not have a strategic plan. Our ordinances are not coherent and cohesive. Our General Plan needs to be updated. I am committed to working with our city staff, planning commission, city council and residents in working together to create, improve and implement all of those projects. They are absolutely necessary to helping our city be viable and sustainable.
-Economic growth and sustainability. We have had tremendous commercial and manufacturing growth in our city. We need to ensure that these businesses stay and thrive. We need to be strategic about allowing a balanced of mixed use development, while focusing on our goals of economic development.
-Improving, strengthening and maintaining our infrastructure. We have 46 miles of improved roads in our city. Holding developers and applicants to the infrastructure standards we have is vital. Prioritizing our budget and spending to support infrastructure.
I have a deep understanding of government and respect the process of public engagement and funding. I have 10 years of serving on city council and I am deeply involved in planning, economic development, volunteer efforts in our community, networking with businesses, supporting our local businesses and involving all stakeholders holders in community events. I have served on PTA Boards, Senior Board, Community Council, Weber CTC, Major Brent Taylor Foundation and various non profit organizations. I have served as an advisor to our youth city council for the past six years. I have worked to help them engage in the civil process, volunteer in our community and actively participate in local government. I am a doer and I am dedicated and engaged
We have a great police force in our city. Holding our police department to the highest standards, ethics in operation and accountability is vital in ensuring our city safety. Making sure that our police department has adequate support, resources and training is equally as important. I want our police department visible, approachable, and transparent so that they will always have the trust of those they serve. Public safety is vital to the success of our community.
Since I have served on city council our budget has always been balanced. We have money in our rainy day fund and we are fiscally responsible.
But we can do better. We need to involve staff and city council much earlier in the process of budget preparing and planning. We need to create a strategic plan and then allocate funding accordingly. Prioritize our employees, infrastructure, city departments, so that we can provide adequate support to our residents. Allowing employees to come to the table in work sessions with our city council and stake holders is essential in understanding and supporting the needs of our city. Planning and designing our budget for needs before projects and wants is extremely important.
