One of the greatest challenges facing Farr West today is the need to thoughtfully update our General Plan in a way that carefully balances future growth with the preservation of our community’s unique character. We must guide development sustainably, ensuring that we protect the distinctive look and feel that makes Farr West special.

Creating more opportunities for residents to be informed and included. Increasing City efforts to expand upon transparency and inclusion, ensuring all voices are heard and represented. I bring a fresh perspective—free from agendas or obligations. I will work to be a unifying voice, making sure everyone, majority and minority alike, has a seat at the table.

With Farr West’s projected growth, a strong focus on parks, street maintenance and safety is paramount. I am committed to working closely with State and local officials to improve our infrastructure while also enhancing the beauty of our roads and sidewalks.
Service has always been a profound source of personal strength and purpose for me. Each act of service deepens my sense of connection – to others, to community, and to something greater than myself. For me, leadership has never been about titles, it’s about service. A Mayor’s first responsibility is to serve the people. That means putting residents first, leading with humility, and making decisions for the good of the whole community. As a fresh face in city government, I’m not running because I’ve always had a seat at the table, I’m running so more of us can be, expanding on ways to keep every resident informed, included, and heard.
My mission as Mayor of Farr West is to lead with integrity, transparency, and a genuine commitment to every resident. A thriving community values every voice, perspective, and idea. I am dedicated to protecting our city’s finances, preserving the small-town values that make Farr West special, and thoughtfully planning for growth and opportunity with openness and accountability.

I will work tirelessly to keep Farr West safe, welcoming, and forward-thinking. I also believe there are untapped opportunities right here in our own backyard that can strengthen our economy and increase city revenue, without placing unnecessary burdens on our residents.
I will advocate for thoughtful updates to our General Plan to protect remaining development areas and preserve the unique look and feel of Farr West. This proactive approach ensures responsible growth while maintaining the small-town character we all cherish.

At the same time, I’m committed to expanding public engagement beyond traditional methods, creating more ways to actively include and inform residents. It’s essential to make room at the table for all voices, especially those who may not typically participate but whose perspectives are vital to our city’s future.
Just as in my personal life, I believe in living within our means, avoiding wasteful spending, paying down debts, and planning ahead to prevent financial crises. In my private-sector career, I managed budgets, built financial stability, and ensured long-term solvency. These principles guide my approach to public service: being responsible with every dollar, planning for the future, and protecting the financial health of our city.

As your Mayor, I will work to ensure taxes are fair and balanced, shielding young families and seniors from undue tax burdens. At the same time, I’ll explore creative, untapped ways to increase revenue, partnering with neighboring cities, businesses, and the county to strengthen our community’s financial future.

Land Owner Rights: Anyone owning land in Farr West should be able to reasonably utilize their property as they choose as long as they abide by the law and do no harm to their neighbors.

Preservation of Open Spaces: Parks & connecting trails should be a higher priority in the development plans of Farr West City. Many of us moved out here to get away from the congestion of other cities, I believe that it is possible to balance smart growth with the preservation of open spaces. We can encourage developers to design and incorporate open space into their proposals.

Infrastructure: We need to maintain our current roads, bridges, storm drains, etc. and plan for better connectivity including sidewalks paths, bridges, and roads. There are a lot of funding opportunities out there which can save us a lot of money while still being able to accomplish our goals.
I was elected to this office (mayor) in 2021 after previously serving on the city council and planning commission. I must enjoy it because I've been doing it for nearly 18 years. I'm motivated by getting positive results to desired yet complicated issues. Open space amenities are crucial to quality of life and planning and building those amenities makes me feel like I've done some good.
To ensure the highest quality of life with safe streets, parks, trails and neighborhoods, we need the right level of revenue to grow and sustain. The right kind of retail to help raise that needed revenue and allow residents to shop locally and stay away from the congestion of places like Riverdale, Ogden, & Layton without becoming like those places. This can be done without high taxes and fees, but obviously we need some.
Good growth looks like what has been defined and laid out in the General Plan. The plan is created by the planning commission which is made up of resident volunteers that are willing to share their vision and implement it. Open houses and public hearings are how we know we are getting it right as long as residents are willing to participate. Zoning and ordinances are how we ensure we are following the plan.
Fiscal Restraint The following questions should be asked before any spending: 1 - Is it necessary? 2 - Can we afford it? 3 - Can we get it cheaper(grants)? 4 - Ask #1 again and add the word 'absolutely'.
