The City Council is the legislative body for the city. The Council adopts local laws (ordinances) to ensure the safety and well-being of the city residents, the city s physical environment and amenities, and the city economy. The Council is responsible for approving financial expenditures and adopting the city budget as well as for establishing policies and regulations to guide the city s future. The elected mayor serves as chief administrative officer for the city.

Retired computer programmer with over 20 years experience. 10 years experience as City of Republic Councilmember.
I start every weekday with a coffee group to have discussions about all kinds of topics, about what's going on within Republic and anything they like or don't like about it. I am on the Visitor's Convention Bureau to promote tourism in Ferry County. I like to shop locally and almost always meet people I know to chat with. I go to Senior Exercises. I am particularly interested in what the senior citizens think since I am a senior myself.
The City of Republic should be a good steward to keeping a safe and attractive environment.
I have spent 10 years on the City Council before I took a 5 year break. I have rested and ready to be back on the Council.
I understand the limited resources the City of Republic has for this problem. It's something we should research more and find options for solutions.
My vision is to keep Republic much the way it is. The people here don't want to live in a big city, that is why we are here. At the same time, we want our businesses to succeed. I would encourage our citizens to support our businesses as much as possible.
