Millage Renewal for Ray Township Fire and Rescue Operations
Shall the constitutional limitation upon the total amount of taxes which may be levied on alltaxable real and personal property in the unincorporated and incorporated area of the Townshipof Ray, Macomb County, Michigan, be increased by one and one-half (1.5) mills for each one($1.00) dollar ($1.50 for each $1,000.00) of the taxable value of such property, as finallyequalized, for a period of five (5) years (2026 through 2030 inclusive) for the purpose ofproviding funds for the operation and maintenance of the Ray Township Fire and RescueDepartment?The estimated amount of revenue that will be collected in the first year that the millage isauthorized and levied is $491,738.62.This proposed millage is a renewal of a previously authorized millage and does not constitutenew additional millage.
