Our district is growing, and we need leaders who listen
and deliver results. As your State Representative, I will champion responsible budgeting, invest in our schools, and expand public transportation options. My experience in banking and as Newcastle Planning Commissioner has taught me the importance of fiscal discipline, transparency, and community-focused solutions. I am committed to supporting our seniors, protecting our natural landscapes, and ensuring every child receives a high-quality education. Together, we can build a thriving, connected, and compassionate 41st
District.

2. Public Safety focused on workplace violence & healthcare access
3.State Budget Deficit and funding for various services like Affordable housing
Housing Affordability & Tax Reform are urgent issues and a recurring concern shared by the constituents of District 41
If I am elected, increasing public funding for infrastructure will receive the highest priority
Focus on common sense gun safety measures like universal background check, red flag laws, safety storage laws, prohibiting assault weapons, high capacity weapons, and bump stocks, and strengthening laws against gun trafficking

I’ve enjoyed a 35 year career working on management teams for various builders and real estate companies. Education: Bachelor of Science Business Administration, University of Denver. For 30 years, I’ve been dedicated to shaping lives—mentoring kids, young couples, and adults through Bible studies.
I will be an asset to the State of Washington because of my creative, business mindset. I have been successful in business, by doing more with less. I will help the State of Washington by making sure each tax dollar spent counts, cutting waste and creating efficiencies. I will champion community safety. I bring practical, principled solutions to the challenges Washington families face. Our citizens need leaders who listen, act with integrity, and never forget who they work for- the people.
Lowering taxes by demanding fiscal responsibility. Cutting waste and increasing government efficiency.
Supporting law enforcement and restoring public safety.
Restoring parental rights. Promoting strong schools and student focused accountability.
I would support harsher penalties for crimes. I would empower law enforcement to effectively do their jobs.
I would empower our school system to focus on academic and technical achievement and accountability.
I would champion reduced regulations and taxes so our businesses and employees can thrive.
I would put on a high priority on fixing things that are broken or dangerous. Infrastructure is an essential service that keeps our economy vibrant. We need to plan and budget so we have the money to put into infrastructure that meets our present and future needs.
We need tougher laws for gun violence, which is something we desperately need to work on. I support rigorous background checks and delayed timing of receiving a gun after it is purchased. "Weapons of mass destruction" should be illegal.

I served as 41st LD State Rep this session. As former Bellevue Councilmember for 7 years, I led on affordability, environmental stewardship, and transportation. As Chief Engineer for Port of Seattle, I led project delivery, while advancing equity and regional economic development.
As a solution-focused engineer, Eastside neighbor, and proud parent, I am committed to improving government to better serve our community. As a state representative, I bring my many years of experience in both the public and private sector, government employee and elected official experience to Olympia to make sure we are community-centered and delivering results.
I am the only House legislator with industry experience in delivery transportation and capital projects. With our large capital budget and transportation project budget, my skillset fills a gap of knowledge in our committee and caucus. It's a tough time right now and people need leaders who listen, seek to understand issues and bring pragmatic solutions.
Let's work together for a better Washington state and 41st LD. Proudly serving the cities of Bellevue, Issaquah, Mercer Island, Newcastle, Sammamish and Beaux Arts Village.
Housing stability is essential for strong communities. That’s why I introduced HB1899 to improve how we collect data on homelessness—so we can better direct resources where they’re needed in next session. I sponsored HB 1808 to start a revolving low interest loan program for developing affordable home ownership. It's urgent that we pass that bill next session.
We have a paramount duty to educate all students, no matter their level of need and support. While we increased some funding and provided a levy lift, that work is not done. More education investment is needed to ensure equity across the state, students and educators have necessary support and can thrive.
Safe, connected transportation systems that are multi-modal are vital. I introduced HBl1992 for a safe system approach to ensure regional coordination. It's also urgent that we pass this bill next session.
The most urgent is the state budget shortfalls and the impact from federal cuts. More revenues and cuts are needed.
Two of my top priorities include affordable housing and transportation safety. My goals are to pass both HB 1808 and HB 1992 to support these priorities. These bills advocate for increasing the supply of affordable housing and provide safe approaches for transportation to prevent serious injury and death on our roads.
I also support bills to increase small business access to public contracting. I am meeting with stakeholders and constituents during this off-session on what other policy bills are urgently needed to combat the federal actions and mitigations to our social justice and climate action efforts. These include K-12 education funding and Medicaid/Medicare cuts, as well as support for our immigrant, refugee and undocumented community members, and environmental actions.
As a bridge builder, I will collaborate with my legislative colleagues and the stakeholders to get things done and pass policy bills that advance social justice and climate action.
My top priorities are improving project delivery to maximize our investments for infrastructure and exploring various progressive revenue options to increase funds for our transportation infrastructure backlog.
As Chief Engineer at Port of Seattle, I oversee the Port’s Major Public Works construction and workforce programs, along with design, building information modeling, safety and survey. I also bring many years of transportation and infrastructure experience to the Washington State House from my time on the Bellevue Council and chairing Bellevue's Transportation Commission.
I bring that experience to the Legislature on not just building infrastructure and major public works projects, but doing so on budget, as the best stewards of taxpayer dollars. I would collaborate and working closely with labor, small and diverse businesses, and communities to ensure we are including everyone in our decisionmaking process and adopt bills to lift up workers, small businesses and communities.
I am honored to have the endorsement of the Alliance for Gun Responsibility and have earned a Candidate of Distinction from Moms Demand Action because I believe that we can prevent gun violence through investments in community and especially support for our youth, public health and research, expanded access to behavioral health, and commonsense policies that keep our families and communities safe.
We must also focus on responsible gun ownership and that is why I voted for gun safety training as a condition to receive a permit to purchase a gun. I also support policies that protect areas where kids gather, like schools and parks, from the presence of guns. I advocate for responsible gun ownership, safe storage of guns in the home and vehicle, and gun buyback programs to reduce the number of guns in the community that could be stolen or misused.
