The city council is the legislative body for the city. The council adopts local laws (ordinances) to secure the safety and assist the well-being of the city residents, the city s physical environment and amenities, and the city economy. The council is responsible for approving financial expenditures and adopting the city budget as well as establishing policies and regulations in order to guide the city s future. The elected mayor serves as chief administrative officer for the city.

Honestly this is the first time running. I just felt that our council needed a new perspective. I feel we need more women in positions to help our communities.
Openly and honestly. If elected they can email, call, make an appointment or drop in at city hall. I believe in open communication.
I think the city needs to have recycling bins for people who cannot get to the transfer site to dispose of it. And then our city workers can dispose of it when full.
I have no public serive record. I have never ran for any political position.
Homelessness is a sad reality our country, state, county and city deal with. As a city we need to find ways to keep our area safe for its residence. And even if homeless, the live here. They need to be treated woth respect as long as they are also showing respect for our areas. We need tonhelp them succeed. Ifnits drugs see if theyd like help getting clean, getting a job and getting a home. Ifnits a veteran who cannot go home due to their own issues, support them. If its just an economic thing see if we can find them a job to get back on their feet. But with allmthat said we should not allow them to destroy or damage city or cou ty property and areas. Respect is a two way street.
Prosperous without losing its small-town vibe. I want our residence and visitors to feel safe, and welcomed. I'd like us to be able to add some youth based activities. And to get animal control back in the area for all the strays, both cats and dogs.
