Experience (300 characters max) Retired federal law enforcement executive with 27+ years of experience leading enforcement operations, investigations, and oversight across our 16 western states. Now a private consultant supporting legal teams and public agencies with strategic, transparent solutions.
With over 27 years in law enforcement, including as a federal Special Agent in Charge overseeing public safety across 16 western states, I bring strategic leadership, emergency response coordination, and fiscal oversight experience. I’ve led large teams, managed multi-million-dollar budgets, and worked across fire and law enforcement agencies during critical operations. I now operate a consulting firm that supports legal teams and public entities. I understand the operational and governance challenges our district faces and will apply proven leadership to serve every community within District 5.
Our fire district—and the broader public safety ecosystem—is facing real pressure: staffing shortages, rising operational costs, regional coordination gaps, and the need for long-term infrastructure planning. I’m running to bring seasoned, independent oversight to these issues. With deep respect for our first responders, I aim to ensure the public receives excellent service, personnel are supported, and financial decisions are transparent. I want to build trust and prepare our district for the challenges ahead—whether on Fox Island, Gig Harbor, or throughout the Peninsula.
1- Sustainable Staffing and Training – ensuring we continue to retain qualified responders as demand rises.

2- Fiscal Accountability – with fluctuating revenues and major capital investments underway, oversight is critical.

3- District-Wide Coordination – improving mutual aid and planning with Gig Harbor Police, PCSO, and regional partners to address emergency response gaps and evolving risks (wildfires, growth). These priorities require forward-thinking leadership that balances operational readiness with fiscal responsibility and transparency.
The public deserves transparency and excellence. I support robust standards for certifications, scenario-based training, and interagency drills with law enforcement. I would advocate for clear reporting on training status, improve accountability systems, and increase regional cooperation on complex incident preparedness. From medical response to wildfire evacuation, our staff must be equipped, confident, and constantly improving. My background includes overseeing federal training programs, and I will bring that rigor to serve this district with trust and professionalism.
