I have been promoted from an entry level position in accounting to the Local Business Advisor. Having worked my way up it gave me a variety of accounting, supervisory and executive skills to share in this position. I was an integral part of the expansion, participating in meetings, budgeting, and overseeing purchasing. During those years, I was engaged with the Executive Team, focusing on policy, procedures and a $50 million dollar budget. While employed at CRCC, I was elected to City Council and have been an active participant for 8 years. My background in fiscal compliance, policy development, and budget management makes me well-equipped to lead the city. My experience has prepared me with the expertise and commitment to handle the challenges as a mayor. I am now retired and look forward to focusing my energy as a mayor

I have 31 years of experience working as a public servant at Coyote Ridge Corrections Center and 8 years as a councilperson with the City of Connell. My background in fiscal compliance, policy development, and budget management makes me well-equipped to lead the city. As a member of the council, I have reviewed and approved 7 years of balanced budgets, approved changes to ordinances, resolutions and contracts. I have been active on the finance committee, attended training and was part of the workshop that crafted the mission statement for the city. I have been active in the community by coaching soccer, participating in Friends of the Library and participating in school activities with children and grandchildren.

I feel it is an opportunity to bring new ideas and perspectives to the table. I will work to build consensus and collaborate with the community and city council to find solutions that benefit everyone as there has been a sense of disconnect between the city and the Community. I believe in reviewing the facts and working with the community and city staff on solutions. With anticipated budget concerns, I feel my experience will benefit the city. The work towards continued growth is an issue that I am excited to be an active participant in so that I can ensure that Connell’s small-town values are protected. As stewards, we are responsible for the growth and maintenance of our community for future generations. I know I have the skills and attributes to make this happen

I plan to stay involved with the Port of Pasco and ECO NW to conduct a systematic review of potential opportunities for the City of Connell. By identifying opportunities that meet the community's needs while maintaining small-town values, we can attract and retain businesses. I believe in the community's right to be aware of the activities within City Hall. I will bring information to the community and ensure they are informed of the decision by utilizing the newspaper, open-door meetings, and town hall meetings. I believe in being open and transparent in my decision-making process.

There are many grant and other fiscal opportunities which can be addressed by working with different agencies and I will make it a priority to see that Connell is in the running for these items. With upcoming growth, it's crucial to maximize land use and support the development of our small-town values. I will ensure that land use practices are sustainable and align with the community's vision.
