GRATTAN TOWNSHIP FIRE DEPARTMENT MILLAGE PROPOSAL
Shall Grattan Township increase the total tax rate limitation imposed under Article IX, Sec. 6 of the Michigan Constitution on general ad valorem taxes and levy a new additional millage in an amount not to exceed 0.45 mills ($0.45 per $1,000 of taxable value) on taxable property within Grattan Township, Kent County, Michigan annually for seven (7) years, 2025 through 2031, inclusive, for the purpose of providing funds for fire department operating costs, including wages and benefits, and shall the Township annually levy such millage on all taxable property within the Township for said purposes, thereby raising an estimated $117,477 in the first year of the levy?
