GRATTAN TOWNSHIP ORDINANCE NO. 2024-003
Township Ordinance No. 2024-003 would rezone certain contiguous lands located at 9609 Belding Road, NE and 9810 Whitten Street, from the A-1 Agricultural District to the A-2 Agricultural District.Non-farm single-family dwellings are a permitted use in both the A-1 District and the A-2 District. However, the regulations of the A-1 and A-2 Districts have the following principal differences:5.Minimum Lot Size. Smaller lots are permitted for non-farm dwellings in the A-1 District, as compared to the A-2 District, as follows:A-1 Minimum Lot Area: 1 acre A-2 Minimum Lot Area: 3 acresA-1 Minimum Lot Width: 220 feet A-2 Minimum Lot Width: 330 feet6.Permitted Density. A lower overall density is permitted in the A-1 District, as compared to the A-2 District. Specifically, the maximum number of lots that may be created, in addition to an existing principal dwelling lot, in each District, is as follows:A-1 District: The maximum number of additional lots ranges from 2 lots to 7 lots, depending on the acreage of the parent parcel.A-2 District: The maximum number of additional lots ranges from 2 to 16 lots, depending on the acreage of the parent parcel.Shall Ordinance No. 2024-003 be approved?
