Over the past 20 years I have advocated for and pushed the envelope on many voter access issues including promoting absentee voting, same day registration, and other changes. Voters now have easy access, so the main thing needed is voter education and promotion of their voting options as well as the reasons why to vote. We will soon open a new Lansing Elections Office on Jolly Rd. that will have extremely high visibility and we will have an electronic display sign where we can get the word out about voting. I will also continue to use social media, direct mail, and other means of informing voters.
One of the biggest challenges will be implementaiton of new voting system due to the statewide contact ending in 2027. We will also be preparing for the City Hall move. And the cty budget and being efficient is always a concern.
