1. Demand transparency and accountability

Our city government has not been accountable to our citizens for the last 8 years. The $10 million payroll debacle and the tragedy of the children’s rising center are just a few examples. These projects failed because of a lack of management and oversight.

Syracuse deserves better.

2. Invest in housing as a human right

We must end the cycle where poverty and unstable housing drag down our families and schools. I will lead a housing strategy that delivers affordable, cluster-based housing that rebuilds entire neighborhoods. The city must enforce the current laws that exist to protect tenants.

3. Community driven public safety

Everyone deserves to feel safe in their neighborhoods, no matter their ZIP code.

We will invest in a fully staffed, well-trained community police, mental health responders, and violence interruption programs rooted in respect and justice.
I will restore management oversight and hold members of my administration and any entity doing business with our city accountable to our residents.

As Mayor, my top three priorities will be: 1. Economic & Workforce Development – Syracuse’s future depends on connecting residents to good-paying jobs. I’ll expand job training tied to Micron, green industries, and I-81 infrastructure work. We’ll support small businesses and invest in workforce pipelines, especially for youth and historically underserved communities. 2. Housing & Lead – I’ll fight for safer, affordable housing by holding landlords accountable and investing in lead remediation. Our families deserve homes free from hazards that undermine health and learning. 3. Public Safety & Stable Families – Safety begins with strong neighborhoods. I’ll support evidence-based anti-violence programs, expand trauma and youth services, and invest in afterschool care and mental health—creating safe, stable environments where families can thrive.
Transparency and accountability start with trust. As Mayor, I will implement open data practices so residents can track city spending, development, and progress on key initiatives in real time. I will host regular community forums in every neighborhood—not just during elections—and make myself and my cabinet accessible to the public. My administration will publish clear performance metrics and report on outcomes, not just intentions. I will also strengthen partnerships with the Common Council and community organizations to ensure decision-making is inclusive and transparent. Every family deserves to know how and why decisions are made—and to have a voice in shaping them.

Where a person lays their head should never determine their success. However the lived condition in which a person lays their head, will absolutely influence their preparation for success. Safe, affordable and healthy housing is a human right. Public safety is essential for residents, businesses and visitors of Syracuse to thrive and prosper. A safe Syracuse is my priority. It involves the collective work of our capable first responders in the Syracuse Police and Fire Departments. While declining crime data points indicate progress, the perception of safety as well as community trust is critical. A Growing and Inclusive Economy- People won’t believe our local economy is growing until they feel it in their purse and/or pocket. The world is looking at the potential for business growth here. That impact must be inclusive of all of Syracuse's residents. Additionally, workforce training AND job placement is the successful pathway I've implemented to increase household incomes.
Maintaining an open City Hall that shares data with our constituents is the right approach. I will expand our open data program and share up to date performance level data with constituents. We will establish visualizations to create a more easily digestible version of our budget and capital plan so people can better understand where their dollars and cents go. Making decisions without public and community input is how disastrous public policies like the original build of I-81 happen in the first place. That’s why I will continue and expand our community meeting programs, ensuring listening sessions and opportunities for feedback are readily available and accessible to constituents. I will also commit during these opportunities to share information about why certain decisions were made, update constituents on ongoing projects, and welcome feedback and questions.
