The winner of the Botetourt County Board of Supervisors Member-Amsterdam District Republican Primary Race will be the Republican Nominee for this office in the November 4 General Election. Any qualified Virginia voter is permitted to vote for races on either the Democratic or Republican Primary Ballot (but not both) for this Election.What is the Board of Supervisors?The Code of Virginia provides that each county be governed by a board of supervisors, which is elected by the qualified voters. The Board of Supervisors of Botetourt County is composed of five members, one from each district. Supervisors are elected for four-year terms which are staggered at two-year intervals.
