Amendment to the City Charter for the City of Boerne Proposition C
Proposition C (wording on the ballot)Shall Section 3.08 C Filling of Vacancies of the Boerne City Charter be amended to read: When a vacancy occurs in the City Council, it shall be filled as required by the Texas Constitution and other law applicable to Home-Rule cities; provided that if a vacancy occurs in a position that has less than 12 months remaining, the City Council shall appoint a qualified individual to serve the unexpired term?Measure C - Section 3.08 C (explanation)Measure C, if approved by voters, would change the method of filling City Council vacancies to comply with State Law for cities with three-year terms instead of two-year terms.
