Have you attended School Board meetings and are you familiar with the structure and procedures of the Board?

What are your qualifications for this office?

Education Bachelor of Arts from Rutgers University 1994; Masters of Science, Occupational Therapy from Philadelphia Univeristy (now Jefferson University) 2004.
Experience Pediatric Occupational Therapist, 21 years; Track & Field, Cross Country and Marching Band Booster Parent, Home & School Board, Parent Action Committee (2010 to present), Sunday school educator at Ivyland Presbyterian Church.
I think the "Code of Conduct for School Board Members," Section 2, item d. needs to be prioritized as it is absent from the current board, "Personal decisions should be based upon all sufficient facts, we should vote our honest conviction without partisan bias, and we will abide by and uphold the majority decision of the Board." It appears that most votes are decided by party affiliation. I would like to see this policy followed as best as possible.
Yes, I have been attending school board meetings since 2010. I am familiar with the Roberts Rules of Order. I am currently the meeting recorder for the Ivyland Borough Council and understand the structure of meetings. I know how to locate meeting and policy information through the Board Docs via the district website.
I have 24 years experience working in special education. I have also served on church and school parent boards. I have been a district parent for 15 years. I care about the students, teachers, and staff in Centennial School District. I want to serve on the school board to ensure the continued success of our great district.
