Council Rock’s policies should always put students first. I’ll focus on making sure policies support strong academics, safe schools, and smart spending. We need to keep national politics out of our classrooms and stick to what matters most—helping every student succeed and protecting our community’s investment in education. When Council Rock is strong, our community is strong.
Yes, I’ve attended School Board and committee meetings and understand how the Board operates. I believe in doing the homework and listening carefully so I’m ready to serve on day one.
I’m a Gulf War veteran, a nonprofit leader with deep experience managing budgets and operations, and a longtime community volunteer. As a parent of two Council Rock students active in sports and clubs, I know how important strong schools are to our kids and our community. I’ll bring a steady voice focused on common sense, collaboration, fiscal responsibility, and, above all, putting students first.

One of the larger issues I see not just locally but nationally revolves around the lack of communication or miscommunication between districts and parents. This is particularly witnessed with sensitive materials presented to students as being age appropriate. There are many cases where parents are unaware of what is actually being introduced to their children. Parents should have a greater ability to see in advance what materials are being incorporated into lesson plans and decide whether their child is ready for this type of instruction. That practice gives the parent greater control over their child's education as well as promoting a spirit of openness and cooperation between all parties concerned - most importantly, the child.
Prior to my election to the Council Rock School Board, I consistently attended meetings. This eased my transition around the structure and procedures of the board. Now being an active board member for over 3 years I am proud to say my attendance record far surpasses the guidelines dictated by our governing body.
I am currently serving on the Council Rock School Board. In addition, I am the President of the Executive Council at Middle Bucks Institute of Technology. Most importantly, I have been a parent, resident, and taxpayer in excess of 30 years. I have volunteered in the Council Rock community with athletic, civic, and religious organizations. This has provided me a well-rounded experience in service on many levels. Combining that experience with raising eight children who attended Council Rock for 26 straight years has afforded me unique insight into the Council Rock Community, Classroom, and Culture.
