#1) Keep McCandless families safe through responsible Police funding and support.
The largest portion of the Town's budget goes to it Public Safety Department and I would continue this. We added a Social Worker in 2025 to help the Police deal with domestic issues that might not require an actual Police officer and would be handled better by a Social Worker.
#2) Protect and expand the Parks and Recreation in McCandless. This would be addressed by adding green space and Park space in 2025 and going forward.
#3) Help to minimize future flooding. This would be accomplished by expanding the Pollution Control and Stormwater Control Programs on Little Pine Creek.
90% of what we do on Town Council is done by concensus. Listening to the public and other council members are the way to build concensus. Those who listen only to the party leaders don't generally arrive at a compromise. I believe that the members of council should make decisions for the good of the citizens and not a particular political party. I always keep the taxpayer in mind and NOT the special interest. I have found that most of the people serving on council agree with this philosophy.
