Occupation CEO - Northside Christian Health Center
Qualifications for office Bethany Blackburn is the Council Vice-President and the Vice-Chair of Shaler-Hampton EMS Board of Directors. Since 2018, she has collaborated with her colleagues and Township staff on infrastructure projects, connectivity projects, and enhancement of community activities. She will continue to advocate for additional connectivity pathways, a new public safety facility, and services which enhance community living for all. Prior to her career in healthcare, she served in the Peace Corps and as a municipal budget analyst. She lives in Hampton Township with her husband and 3 children.
Education BA in economics from Smith College; MBA from Washington University in St. Louis
1. Additional connectivity pathways. 2. A new public safety facility for fire and EMS 3. Services & infrastructure which enhance community living for families, young professionals and seniors.

All these initiatives require long-term planning and funding. Thus, I would include them in the Township's annual strategic planning session and budget planning. Additional connectivity pathways requires collaborating with the Assistant Township Manager, who oversees the Township Road program. Fire and EMS would be included in the planning process for a new facility as well as other key community stakeholders. Improving services and infrastructure (such as Meadow field), necessitate community input and grant funding.
Despite the diversity of perspectives on the Council, we embrace data-driven decision making and are fiscally responsible in our strategic planning. Thus, we have successfully come to a consensus on significant issues through rational and logical discussion and by consulting with the Township staff on the financial, legal, and regulatory impacts of project implementation.
