Kim Salinetro Candidate for City Council
The three things I'm focused on most are boosting economic development, improving public safety, and fixing the permitting, licensing, and inspection system to make it more efficient."
I will host regular town halls, listening sessions, and neighborhood meetings across all parts of the district to hear directly from residents. Every voice matters, and these forums will provide opportunities for feedback, ideas, and concerns. I’ll work closely with community groups, faith-based organizations, business leaders, and neighborhood associations to stay connected to the evolving needs of different populations within the district.
Building consensus and building relationships has been a key part of my role as chief of staff for the past 16 years. One of the most effective strategies I’ve used is bringing all stakeholders to the table early and making sure everyone feels heard. Whether we were working on housing solutions for displaced Fairywood residents or improving neighborhood safety, I always prioritized open dialogue and transparency. In office, I’d apply these same strategies—facilitating collaborative meetings, keeping communication channels open with residents and community leaders, and staying solution-focused. My goal is always to find common ground that leads to real progress for our neighborhoods.”
