Qualifications for office
I am currently a Ward 1 Council Member in the Borough of Bellevue, serving since my appointment on January 28, 2025. Additionally, I serve as Chair of the Tri-Borough Joint Planning Commission. I was appointed to represent my community on the Tri-Borough Joint Planning Commission by Bellevue Council in 2023, elected by my fellow Planning Commissioners to serve as Vice Chair in 2024, and was elected to serve as Chair in 2025.
Education
University of Pittsburgh
My top priorities are (1) encouraging open communication and transparency, (2) increasing community participation in borough affairs, and (3) supporting a joint comprehensive plan with actionable recommendations.
To achieve these goals, I plan to hold events at local businesses to connect the community with Council Members and promote volunteer positions on local boards and commissions, giving more residents a chance to shape Bellevue's future. This broader outreach will help inform decision-making that serves our diverse community. Additionally, I'll treat our Joint Comprehensive Plan as a living document, requiring regular progress reporting and review to ensure it continues to effectively guide Bellevue's long-term growth.
As Tri-Borough Joint Planning Commission Chair, I formed a working group with council members from four boroughs to launch a Joint Comprehensive Plan update. I coordinated the submission of a complete community planning grant application and created evaluation tools for consultant selection. By laying the groundwork for joint decision-making, leading structured discussions, and encouraging open dialogue, we navigated diverse opinions and borough priorities to select a consultant. I'll continue using these skills as a Council Member, emphasizing collaboration and buy-in to achieve shared goals.
