My priorities include economic development, community engagement, and affordable utilities. My goals are to join the Public Works and Parks and Rec subcommittees and push for policies that support subsidies, energy efficiency, and rate studies/changes and efforts that support local/new businesses, community events, and council meeting attendance. Everyone has a seat at the community table and deserves to be heard, and, more than anything, I want to make sure that city government works for everyone, not just the well-connected or the loudest voices.
Leading by listening. We will never accomplish anything if we don’t listen and truly hear people. We are always more willing to get involved if we feel heard, and that includes within our own diverse communities. Different opinions and priorities bring new perspective that is often needed to understand others.
