Beyond any academic credentials, I bring a mother’s fierce love and a profound desire to see all children receive the best possible education. It’s this love that fuels my determination to improve our schools, for the sake of our children and the generations that follow.
We need to see a significant increase in parental involvement and support within our schools. Furthermore, we require a school board that prioritizes reliability, transparency, and honesty. Our goal is to provide our children with the best possible education, which demands both strong support for our teachers and staff and proactive measures to ensure their long-term retention.
Our community demands accountability from our school board members, insisting they uphold their ethical and moral oaths. There's a widespread feeling that our teachers and staff are not being heard or adequately supported. Parents are deeply concerned about excessive phone use during school hours, emphasizing the need for a focused educational environment. Additionally, there's a strong desire for expanded academic options to better serve our children's diverse needs. Furthermore, the community is calling for more diverse disciplinary action options and increased avenues for addressing children's mental health needs.

I thank God every day that I grew up in Schulenburg. All I ever wanted to do was make my brothers, parents and grandparents proud; and SISD gave me that opportunity. I graduated from SISD in 1994, then graduated from Texas State in 1998. I joined the workforce immediately upon graduation. I have built, restructured and managed several global sales, business development and engineering teams. I have interviewed, hired and coached a large number of employees, and have an excellent track record of employee retention. I have years of budget experience and P&L ownership. Budget management is a key responsibility for the board. I bring a positive, can-do attitude, always committed to my team and will out work my competition and detractors.
Short term: Improving test scores. Finishing the bond. We are in the middle of managing a project that, when done correctly, will benefit everyone in the area for 50 years. Removing either of two trustees with 40+ combined years of business and managerial experience, would be unwise.

Long term: Improving test scores. Hiring, attracting and keeping the highest quality teachers. This also requires proven experience and ideas to tackle. I am proud of what we have accomplished the past 3 years, but there is more work to be done. I believe serving another term would be the best option for the community and SISD. Thank you for your support.
They want to see higher test scores and less turnover with the teachers and administrators. Every small school faces the same retention issue, but I am determined to make SISD a destination no one wants to leave. I am very proud of the teacher incentive program we put in place, where a high performing teacher can make an additional $32K. Retaining great teachers is also a job for the entire community. We moved back to Schulenburg because of the great people. This is a huge advantage to keeping good people at SISD.
