4. Fluoridation in public water supplies has been studied by many agencies over many years. In Oct 2024, a federal court ruled that fluoride exposure poses a hazard to human health and ordered the EPA to respond. In Pennsylvania, decisions about fluoride in the water supplies are assigned to local government. What are your thoughts about the best way to manage this at the local level?
Education, Experience
I have been a resident of the Borough of Shillington for 57. I served in the US Air Force, and have been married for 58 years, with 3 children and 6 grandchildren.
Qualifications
I was a police officer, Sergeant, and retired as the Chief of Police in 1996. I became a Magisterial District Justice, and retired in 2020. I am a lifetime member of Keystone Fire Company of Shillington as Second Assistant Chief, a former committee member of Boy Scout Troop 237, and parishioner and Eucharistic Minister at St. John RCC. I am past president of the Greater Governor Mifflin League and St. John's Primetimers. Also a member of Lions Club & have previously served on Boro Council
I have 31 years of experience in the borough, have previously finished a term on borough council, and have been an active member of the community in my 57 years as a resident of Shillington. Having been involved in law enforcement and community leadership, I want to be an active participant in the leadership of this community.
I want to serve the residents and keep "The Town Beautiful" continuing into the future.
My biggest priority is to eliminate the trash along the main thoroughfares in the borough.
