Please describe your priorities for your term in office.
What would you do to promote civility and cooperative problem-solving in your community?
What is the most pressing social service issue facing your community and what should your local government do about it?
Honesty, integrity and accuracy are the basic tenets of any public office holder, but especially important for a municipal treasurer. I constantly strive to make these characteristics part of my daily life. The Town Treasurer is not a voting member of the board, so I will support the rest of the board members to my best ability.
A positive attitude and open mind are always an asset to promoting civility. The basis of creative problem solving is listening. It is imperative to listen completely to others before forming a response. I try to see others' perspectives and respect opinions that do not match my own. Disagreements can be opportunities to learn.
The social issues facing our community mirror those of the nation; economic unease, educational inequities, healthcare anxieties and environmental concerns. Too often solutions and/or actions to address these issues are taken out of the hands of our local governments by legal regulations of higher authority. Mutual respect for our community's elected officials and citizens, combined open lines of communication allow citizens to help one another address all issues.

I will receive and take charge of all money belonging to the town, or which is required by law to be paid into the town treasury, and disburse the money. I will keep an itemized account of all moneys received and disbursed. I will deposit, as soon as practicable, the funds of the town in the name of the town in the public depository designated by the town board. I will do this with complete transparency.
Communicate. I am open to talking about any issue and doing my best to achieve a good outcome. Please keep in mind that the outcome may not be exactly what you are asking for. With that in mind hopefully we can come to a resolution to the problem that works. We do not need to shout over anyone, nor do we need to resort to name calling. As adults each party should be able to have an open and honest discussion of the issues and look for the best possible outcome.
Community. We need to strengthen our community. We need more community events and gatherings. By getting together we can discuss issue's in a non formal manor which helps promote communication amongst our great folks of Cold Spring. It helps us to get to know the folks in our town. It will help us share our culture and traditions and create a bond that will lead to a cohesive community that works together for the common good of our community.
