North Stonington Registrar of Voters
The Registrars office is an agency of the State of Connecticut. The two elected registrars, one from each party, are responsible for registering and enrolling voters, maintaining the computerized voter lists and updating the lists by annual canvass. They also conduct primaries, elections and referenda for the Town---setting up polling places and ballot drop-boxes, hiring and training election workers and tabulating voting results. In addition to regular office hours, the Registrars reach out to the community by offering registration sessions at schools, community events and nursing homes. Registrars are elected to a two-year term and are salaried. The candidates for this office are listed for informational purposes and have not been asked to respond to specific questions. To view sample ballot go to this website:- https://portal.ct.gov/SOTS/Election-Services/Town-Ballots/Ballots
