Broomfield County Ballot Questions 2A- 2G Home Rule Changes

The City of Broomfield is asking voters to allow the following changes to the Home Rule Charter:2A - Change wording from municipal elections to coordinated elections.2B - Limit mayor and council member to no more than three (3) consecutive terms of office. Currently, the consecutive term limit is two (2).2C - Permit the City Council to approve rezonings and other land use cases relating to a specific property by resolution at a public meeting. 2D - Require the City and County to publish ordinances on their webite and permit, but not require, publication in a newspaper of general circulation2E - Personnel: Retain the Personnel Merit System for classified full-time and part-time employees, Set forth right to an administrative appeal, Exclude dept heads, deputy asst/asst city and county managers from the Personnel Merit System, Remove the reference to Personnel Merit Commission from the Code.2F - Legal and Judiciary: Permit the city/county to employ both asst attorneys and no-attorney staff, Special Council works under direction of City/Council Attorney, Muni judge can hire and supervise associate judges and court and sets the reason for removal of a judge to be consistent with state statute or conduct that violates CO Code of Judicial Conduct2G - Extend mayor term length to four (4) years from the current two (2) commencing for the mayor elected at the 2025 November election.Yes is in favor of changesNo is against the changes
