I bring real-world experience. I have a background in public health policy and have over 10 years of experience studying how state decisions affect schools.
I support making voting easier and safer by protecting early and mail voting, securing equipment, and ensuring transparency so that every eligible Texan can vote.
As a PhD student in public health policy, I see how state decisions shape health. Texas should focus on prevention, expand access to care, strengthen Medicaid, and invest in communities to ensure that healthcare is affordable and accessible for every Texan.
I would fight to raise the minimum wage so working Texans can actually afford housing, food, and healthcare. I’d also support workforce training, small business investment, and infrastructure projects that create good-paying jobs in communities that have been left behind.
Texas can lead by investing in a balanced energy mix, such as strengthening its grid, expanding renewable energy sources, and holding polluters accountable. We can keep energy affordable while protecting our air, water, and future generations.
Texas must plan ahead by investing in water infrastructure, repairing aging pipes, protecting its rivers and aquifers, and supporting conservation efforts. Smart planning today ensures reliable water for growing communities and future generations.
I fully support funding public schools, fair teacher pay, and strong accountability, so that every child receives a quality education. School choice should never drain resources from public schools. Texas must prioritize students, teachers, and classrooms.
I am qualified for this position through lived experience, legal training, and service to my community, including work with labor and civil rights attorneys and advocacy for families and workers.
I would change Texas election laws to limit federal influence in redistricting, set clear state standards, prevent mid decade map changes, protect lawmakers who dissent, require courts to address discrimination directly, and mandate transparency when federal and state officials communicate about election or district changes.
I would ensure the state invests in prevention, expands access to affordable healthcare, and protects patients from high costs. That means strengthening Medicaid, supporting rural hospitals and clinics, lowering prescription drug prices, investing in mental health, and making sure care is accessible regardless of income, location, or employment.
We are not waiting for jobs to come to us, we create them ourselves. In my district, if you give someone a 3D printer, training, and mentorship, they become a micro-manufacturer and start hiring friends and family. The talent, drive, and ideas already exist. What’s missing is fair access to the state resources and tools that are already available so our communities can grow and sustain the jobs.
Texas can ensure reliable, affordable energy by modernizing the grid, expanding solar, and protecting individual choice. I support laws that protect the right to install solar panels, use battery storage, and choose off-grid systems without penalties. Empowering people to generate their own energy lowers costs, strengthens resilience, and protects the environment.
I would protect Texas’s long-term water supply by limiting high-water-use industries in drought-stricken areas and capping the amount of freshwater fracking operations can use per site. I would protect shared groundwater that crosses property lines, prohibit corporations from buying up water rights, and require companies to fully clean and remediate any water impacted by their operations.
I would support policies that fully fund public schools, protect classroom resources, and ensure accountability for all education dollars, regardless of school choice policies, including revisiting the Robin Hood recapture system to ensure it is fair and does not punish districts or drain resources from students.
I bring 17+ years in public education and leadership, managing campuses, departments, budgets, and programs. I’m a lifelong RGV resident committed to service, fairness, and results for District 37.
Texas must protect voting rights while ensuring secure elections. I support expanded early voting, accessible polling locations, fair district maps, and clear voter education. Election security should focus on transparency and integrity without creating barriers that discourage eligible voters from participating.
The state should ensure healthcare is affordable and accessible for all Texans. I support expanding access to care, strengthening rural and border healthcare systems, investing in mental health services, and lowering prescription costs. No family should delay care due to cost or lack of providers.
I would support raising the minimum wage to a livable level, investing in workforce training, expanding apprenticeships, and supporting small businesses. Economic growth must reach working families, rural communities, and border regions, not just a few at the top.
Texas needs reliable, affordable energy while protecting our environment. I support strengthening the power grid, investing in renewable energy alongside traditional sources, improving oversight of utilities, and promoting energy efficiency to protect families from rising costs and outages.
I support long-term water planning that includes conservation, infrastructure investment, reduction of misuse, and regional collaboration. South Texas must be prioritized to ensure growing communities, agriculture, and businesses have reliable water for generations to come.
I strongly support fully funded public education. The state must prioritize classrooms over vouchers, respect the separation of religion and public schools, support teachers, and reduce over testing. Every child deserves a quality education, regardless of zip code or school choice debates.
