Prior to running for my current position I was Fiscal Officer for Austinburg Township for 16 years. That administrative and financial experience prepared me well for the job of Ashtabula County Recorder. I have served as County Recorder for 12 years and have made many upgrades to the office. I was able to budget for and purchase new equipment for the viewing of our older records contained on microfilm and microfiche. During my tenure as Recorder I have worked to digitize the office from 1978 to current. I have also brought e-recording into the office which saves time and makes the office much more efficient.

I would like to continue the good work in which I pride myself. I activated a free service for property owners known as Property Check, which enables folks to monitor recordings to help lessen the effects of any fraudulent activity involving their real estate. I have held annual seminars to inform residents ways available to transfer their property to beneficiaries. I am very proud that two years ago I was elected by my peers to the Executive Committee of the Ohio Recorders Association currently serving as Treasurer. This enables me to gain additional experience to best serve the Ashtabula County Recorder's office and our residents. I appreciate the confidence the voters have placed in me by allowing me to serve them!
