Occupation I am the current Elected Ashtabula County Clerk of Courts Incumbent
Administration is my forte. Balancing resources like time, money, policy, and energy is crucial. With extensive experience and executive-level leadership, I prioritize everyone’s needs and am committed to our community. Holding a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, I am equipped with the knowledge and skills to manage and improve the operations effectively. My background provides a strong foundation in budgeting, human resources, information systems, and managing office complexities to implement innovative solutions. I bring hands-on experience as The Clerk, a citizen, and Notary Public. These experiences have made me proficient in the technical aspects of the job and deeply familiar with the needs of our community members.
When I first took on the role of Clerk of Courts, the office was falling behind technologically. Legislative requirements for mandated improvements were on the horizon, and we were in danger of non-compliance. My commitment to our county is evident in my relentless pursuit of community betterment. Contrary to what the name implies, there are actually three departments of the Clerk of Courts office: the Legal Division, the Title Bureau, and Archives & Ancestry. My efforts have helped modernize the offices, ensuring it is technologically up-to-date in all departments, and more accessible to the people. I aim to finish what I started four years ago, especially in enhancing the technology presence so no department, or customer, is neglected.

I have 23 years of progressive in office experience in the Clerk of Courts Office which makes me uniquely qualified to serve as your next Clerk of Courts. I started from the bottom and over the years received multiple promotions, one being from the current Clerk on a job she created, that was made up of the work she and her Chief Deputy should have been doing. As a result of my many years of experience in the office, I have been trained and will be a working Clerk of Court's! I am best equipped to oversee the $850,000 upgrade to our CourtView 3 computer system that was almost lost and should have already been implemented. I will be a working Clerk and thus best equipped.
I genuinely care about this office after spending more than half of my life there. This office needs drastic changes IMMEDIATELY! Three of the most senior staff members have left within the year. Multiple grievances are on the table. This change is crucial for the County! I will hit the ground running to move the office forward and I will be fully prepared to implement the complicated CourtView 3 computer upgrade. I stand before you as the only candidate who actually knows the office and as the hub of the Justice and Judicial System and the Auto Title Dept, the citizens of Ashtabula County should expect and demand that their elected Clerk of Courts be honest, competent and experienced in multiple complexities of the office.
