Our motto is “A Fresh Voice for a Fresh Start”, and that’s what I will bring to the Quorum Court. This will be my first elected position, and I’m excited to bring the same innovative approach enthusiasm that I have brought to each challenge in my education and career. I own and run a small metal fabrication business with my father, so I understand real work and business ownership. In our business around half of our employees are re-entry - either currently or formerly incarcerated. We do the work to make our community better in my day to day job - and I want to make it happen on the Quorum Court.
Support
My campaign focuses on three main areas: libraries, the Faulkner County Animal Shelter, and public safety. First, libraries—history has shown that those who fought against education and banned books were not on the right side of history. I support libraries and education and will fight to protect both. The animal shelter has broken ground, but further work is needed. Some on the court believe it shouldn’t be a funding priority - but I believe strongly that as a public safety issue it should be, and that this can be done sustainably and responsibly. Public safety- my business hires from re-entry programs, and I want to bring these programs to Faulkner County to enhance public safety, benefit businesses, and move our community forward.
Library - I plan to ensure full, fair, and responsible funding, and will organize and fight against any efforts to reduce access to books or educational library programming. Animal Shelter - I plan to advocate for common sense partnership between the 501c3 organization contracted with the county and the county government. Public Safety - Re-entry programs work. They make fiscal sense and community sense. We know this because the work is being done in Pulaski County. While JP's alone cannot carry out the types of programs that are currently happening in Pulaski, I plan to be a voice for these programs, bring my experience in, and get these programs started in our County in a way that helps businesses and justice impacted folks alike.
