Minnesota State House District 38B
The lower chamber of the Minnesota legislature has two representatives per senate district for a total of 134. Representatives are elected every two years. They write and vote on legislation to create, repeal, or change state laws affecting many issues, like health care, the environment, and the economy. They also vote on state taxes and the state spending. What your state legislature does affects many facets of your life—the taxes you pay, the highways on which you drive, public schools, the state-supported colleges and universities you or your children might attend, the state parks that provide recreation for you and your family, social programs, and funding for the judicial system. Property tax rates, public safety, and economic development. 1) Brooklyn Center highest city tax rates in the Metro is a reason we struggle to get business development investment in Brooklyn Center. I will get business back to my district. The massive property value losses have left our local residents are paying the bulk of the taxes directly. 2) The disaster's we've seen with George Floye protests in the metro and Dante Wright protests in Brooklyn Center and failures of leadership form Walz et al. - I would work to reverse this. 3) Our area is rich with excellent workers and honest people who want to work and succeed. I want to help get them opportunities to get better and higher paying jobs and achieve the American dream.
The democrats took a 1-vote majority (only 382 votes) and declared themselves the "trifecta" and dictators of Minnesota - completely ignoring the other 49.9%. They blew the multi billion dollar surplus immediately and then massively expanded all our taxes and costs at unprecedented levels. I would check this and try to REVERSE these and get Minnesota and my district back to being competitive. Responsible and balanced leadership is 100% better than "gone wild" dictatorship.
We don't need to try and label people and buy them in boxes and control them. Intersectionality and other racist labeling and control is wrong. We need OPPORTUNITY for our people and a safe climate for them to succeed. We need jobs, save neighborhoods, and great education. We have great people in Brooklyn Center and Brooklyn Park and they just need all those trying to control them to get out of the way and they will do GREAT things!
I am against pollution such as dumping chemicals etc. But these schemes to control CO2 are a complete scam (they just want control). Plants are optimal at 1100-1200 PPM and our current atmospheric CO2 is ~350PPM. We need to be working on keeping our lakes and streams clean. We need to keep our areas clean and free from junk. We need to be planting more nice trees and keeping our lakes clean for fisherman and boaters etc. But we don't need to be concerned about CO2 causing climate change.
