Personal Biography
I grew up in the northeastern corner of Kansas and have made central Kansas my home since 1987. My husband is a farmer/rancher. We have two adult children.
Education
B.A. in Political Science from the University of Kansas in 1983. J.D. from the University of Kansas in 1986.
Community/Public Service
Board member of Clara Barton Hospital 2014 to 2022. I have served in many roles as a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Odin, Kansas.
I practiced law from 1986 to 2020 when I was elected to the District Judge position. During that time I practiced in many different areas of the law which has given me a good breadth and depth of experience. I have served as a District Judge since January 2021. I look forward to continuing to serve all of the citizens of the Twentieth Judicial District.
While I cannot answer any questions about how I might rule in any case, I would say that I try to give every litigant the opportunity to be heard. I try to take the circumstances of each individual case into account before making any decisions.
