Education BA from Wichita State University
Community/Public Service Maize City Council President
My six years on the Maize City Council along with my 17+ years in Health Care Administration have helped prepare me for this role.
Fully funding education, protecting women's rights and medicaid expansion are, I believe, the most important issues facing Kansas right now. I intend to help progress the conversations across party lines to deal with these issues and seek resolutions.
I would propose that we enhance online resources into a centralized portal with search functionality and tracking tools. I would also promote the need for clear and concise bill summaries. We should also have improved communication channels with regular updates and multilingual capabilities. These items along with local media and community organization partnerships should help bridge the gap between legislators and the public.
I would support the following changes in Kansas. We need to expand voter access, support voter registration improvements, protect election security and integrity, support campaign finance and transparency while protecting voters rights and anti-discrimination measures and expanding voter education and outreach.
