I'm strongly in favor of Nevada's ballot question 6, enshrining abortion rights and reproductive freedoms into Nevada's constitution. I am a pro-choice candidate. Endorsed by Planned Parenthood and Reproductive Freedom for All.
Gender-affirming care for adults is vital because it empowers individuals to align their physical presentation with their internal sense of self. This alignment can lead to profound improvements in mental health, self-esteem, and overall well-being. Denying access to such care can perpetuate feelings of dysphoria and distress, and can even contribute to suicidal ideation. Supporting gender-affirming care for adults is an act of compassion and recognition of the inherent dignity of all individuals, regardless of their gender identity.
I believe Nevada's elections are strong and secure, and I support how Nevada runs its elections. I have concerns about the proposed voter ID amendment -- including that it could lead to voter disenfranchisement.
I'm currently undecided on the ballot initiative. However, I have serious concerns about the ranked-choice voting process.
