The Nevada State Assembly is the lower chamber of the state Legislature and works alongside the Senate to draft, debate, and enact state laws. All 42 Assembly seats are up for election in 2026, and the Assembly plays a central role in shaping policy on schools, healthcare, housing, jobs, public safety, and state budgeting. Because Assembly members represent local districts and serve two-year terms, these races allow voters to hold lawmakers closely accountable and ensure that policy priorities reflect the needs and values of their communities. These elections matter for democratic representation and for how the state resolves the biggest challenges facing Nevadans.

At the state level, I support policies that keep our communities safe while treating people with dignity and fairness.
That means protecting due process and civil rights, ensuring access to essential services like healthcare and education, and supporting policies that build trust between communities and law enforcement so people feel safe reporting crime.
I also believe we should invest in legal support and workforce integration so people can contribute fully to our economy.
At the same time, comprehensive immigration reform is a federal responsibility, and I support a system that is fair, orderly, and humane.
I believe redistricting should be fair, transparent, and centered on the people, not politics.
District lines should reflect real communities, where people live, work, and share common interests, not be drawn to benefit one party or protect incumbents.
I support an open process with public input, clear criteria, and strong safeguards against gerrymandering.
At the end of the day, voters should choose their representatives, not the other way around.
One policy I would change is how school funding actually reaches classrooms.
Right now, money gets approved at the state level, but there’s no clear, easy way for parents or teachers to see how much their specific school received or how it’s being used.
I would require school level funding reports, not just district wide numbers, so every school has to show exactly what they received, how it was spent, and what changed because of it.
I’d also tie new funding to real outcomes like smaller class sizes, more support staff, and safer learning environments, not just general budgets.
If we’re asking taxpayers to invest in education, families deserve to see where every dollar is going and what it’s doing for their kids.

Prevent immigrants reporting for their status at federal buildings being allowed to complete their legal process. Allow state to only report violent felons to ICE, not detainees guilty only for minor civil or infractions
Normally, after the census redistricting is held. Due to present politics, we have to respond to gerrymandering. I would support an independent body creating the boundaries with voters amendments second.
Transparency and accountability of elected officials for use of public fund. Specifically, illegal use of taxpayer funds routed to their campaigns to assist them in obtaining voter information. This can be done through the NRS process. There is bipartisan support for this. Also, prevent executive city/county/district leaders from being able to use their positions for personal gain. Submit an NRS to prevent any leader of an agency, organizations with a population base in excess of 400,000 from taking employment with any business the agency has awarded funds or contracts for a period of two years.
