I have been the supervisor for Banks Township for the past four years, being elected in 2020. I was raised in Banks township, having attended Ellsworth Schools beginning in first grade. These combined experiences have given me insight into the needs and desires of our community.

I have enjoyed the last four years and believe this board has made some improvements in the community with respect to blight and zoning issues. One of which was adding the ability to place a second dwelling on your own property for the purpose of long term rental or familial care, which will allow residents to avoid splitting up their parcels. I hope this will help maintain the pastoral feel of our township, along with giving residents more options for how to best use their property.

I aim to leave the township better than I found it for the community and my children who will hopefully be a part of the next generation of Banks Township residents.
The main issue affecting Banks township is the quality of our roads. They impact the most people, both residents and those passing through our community. I will continue to push for common sense use of funds that are available for road improvements.

The next issue would be maintaining the high quality of our Fire and Rescue department. We have some amazing individuals serving this community and I'd like to see their number grow. We have come a long way in the last four years and I will continue to work with the department to find ways of recruiting a new generation of firefighters and EMS personnel to serve our residents. I also intend to continue the process of bringing a Jordan Valley Ambulance Authority substation to Banks Township in order to provide faster service to our residents. As our average age continues to increase, this need will continue to grow, and I would like to see it fulfilled in the near future.
