As a lifelong resident of Fair Lawn, I bring a deep connection to our community & a new perspective to this council. With 20+ yrs of experience in marketing & operations at Sony Music, I’ve developed skills in client relations, project management, & process implementation. My passion for the arts & community service is shown in my work w/ nonprofits like Make-A-Wish & Ryan Seacrest Foundation, as well as overseeing intern programs. During the pandemic, I launched a peer support network for parents & caregivers, leading a team that supported 300+ families. I also hold a certification in Conflict Resolution & speak Spanish, helping me connect w/ more of our diverse community. I’m proud to raise my family in Fair Lawn & be involved in making it stronger. I recently organized special programming at the Senior Center for Latin Heritage, which was so well-received that seniors filled 3 tables at our celebration. I’m running for council because I am ready to serve w/heart,dedication & action.
There are a few key issues that I believe are crucial for Fair Lawn’s future. First, keeping Fair Lawn affordable while maintaining a high quality of life. Our council has worked hard to keep taxes stable, achieving six years of no tax increases in the past seven. We also regularly review fees to keep them lower than those in nearby towns. Fair Lawn was recently ranked the 12th-best small town in the U.S., reflecting the success of our efforts. Preserving & expanding green spaces is another priority. As a family that walks to school, I understand the value of these areas. I am committed to protecting existing parks and creating new green spaces, using grant funding when necessary. Finally, representation matters. Our boards & committees should reflect the diversity of our town, & I’m dedicated to ensuring all voices are included as we grow. I’ve lived here my whole life, & am raising my family where my parents are also aging. I care deeply & want to see Fair Lawn thrive for everyone.
I'm looking forward to watching Fair Lawn continue to grow and offer our residents more resources so that they don't have to look further than their backyard for dining, entertainment, and retail experiences. Although there is a great deal of pressure from Developers and Fair Share Housing to build additional units, I believe that through smart development we can meet our housing equity requirements without straining our infrastructure and schools.

My skills and ability in my professional career will be most beneficial while working and serving on the council. As a 34 year employee of Verizon, I was simultaneously able to successfully complete my Bachelor degree in the Science of Business Management as well as a Bachelor degree in Psychology at Fairleigh Dickinson University.

I've held many positions at Verizon including Senior Auditor, Team Leader, and Consultant for Small Business Markets. My background includes leadership development, financial management and audit, and recommending best practices for labor relations and grievances. My experience in financial management and audits will ensure that budgets are looked at carefully, line by line, and spending tax money responsibly will always be a priority to our residents.

These attributes have prepared me to be your next Councilperson. I am committed to working with a bi-partisan council, ensuring there are checks and balances, so Fair Lawn can be the best it can be.
Quality of life issues including increased traffic volume and pedestrian safety, flooding in certain areas of town, rodent issues, late night noise coming from neighboring Paterson, and the foul odor that residents are noticing near Saddle River Road and State Highway 208.

I will work with our mayor and council as well as local, county, state, and federal agencies to execute a plan and implement a solution to address each of these issues.
Out of control overdevelopment throughout the borough needs to be addressed. We need our elected officials and planning board members to commit to keeping Fair Lawn a suburban town and not an overgrown city.

I would like to see a more robust central business district to welcome and attract new small business owners.

Any future redevelopment of properties should include more age restricted 55 and older communities for our seniors. This is also beneficial to our schools as they would not have the burden of overcrowding.
