In a civilized country access to quality healthcare should be available for all citizens. Expanding Medicaid will give more citizens access to quality healthcare, and specifically insure our children. I support Medicaid expansion and will look closely at the details.
Expanding job opportunities requires qualified candidates with the necessary skillset to perform the jobs. I would increase access to training throughout the community by mandating certain training and development for students in high school. I would also coordinate co-op programs between the business sector and students in the form of internships. There are other programs that I would initiate as the senator which will give constituents the opportunity to train, qualify and access employment with the necessary skillset.
It is apparent out sea levels are rising. I will host and coordinate meetings with the army corps of engineers and other state leaders who are similarly situated as South Carolina. I will coordinate efforts with FEMA and Small Business Administration to assess Flood Plain Levels as we develop a strategy to protect homeowners and business owners from rising sea levels.
In my opinion school libraries are owned by the public. A libraries should consist of all types of books are various subjects. If there are books of an explicit nature, those books should be placed in an area where there is limited and controlled access, but the books should not be removed from the library, not in a free society.

Also as a member of the Fish Game and Forestry committee, we talk about our natural resources and how to protect them. I have worked with conservation groups and we should continue to do that to enact smart policy
