The purpose of Florida’s District Courts of Appeal is to provide the opportunity for thoughtful review of decisions of lower tribunals by multi-judge panels. District Courts of Appeal correct harmful errors and ensure that decisions are consistent with our rights and liberties. This process contributes to the development, clarity, and consistency of the law. Term: 6 Years Salary: $212,562Norma S. Lindsey is a judge of the Florida 3rd District Court of Appeal. She assumed office on May 26, 2016. Her current term ends on January 7, 2025. Lindsey ran for re-election for judge of the Florida 3rd District Court of Appeal. She won in the retention election on November 6, 2018. Lindsey was appointed to the court by Republican Governor Rick Scott. She was previously appointed to the Circuit Court of the Eleventh Judicial Circuit by Governor Scott in 2011 where she served there until she joined the appellate bench. She was later re-elected without opposition in 2014.
