The State Senate and House of Representatives are responsible for making or changing laws and passing a state budget. Sixty representatives serve in the House. The sizes of districts are based on the number of people living there. The Oregon Legislature meets for a long session in odd-numbered years and a short session in even-numbered years. To qualify as a candidate for the Oregon State House of Representatives, a person must be a U.S. citizen, a registered voter, a resident of the district for at least 1 year prior to the General Election, and age 21 or older. The salary is $35,052 plus a per-diem stipend.Term: 2 years. This is a partisan position.

This is tough to answer because it is all the cumulative decisions we make as individuals that is making this so hard to address. No one wants to be without electricity and modern transportation. I want more charging stations so we can switch to electronic vehicles even faster and driving an electric car is even more convenient. I would make public transportation -- taking the bus, practically free.
Yes. I think voters would feel that the system was less partisan and thus more fair to voters and to candidates from all parties. I think having rank choice voting for state representative and congressional candidates would also help.
Yes I would. The use of the walk out to the business of making government decisions needs to end. Hopefully now that the Oregon Supreme Court has ruled that BM 113 from the November 2020 election is constitutional that will help as well.
