Many residents/business owners have encouraged me to run again because they value the direction Kaukauna is heading. Since 2018, we’ve seen over $120 million in new business investments, added more than 580 housing units. Taxpayers saved over $12 million through state/federal grants/private donations. Of that, $5 million was invested in park/trail upgrades and $1.8 million in low-cost loans for downtown revitalization. I’m running for mayor because I love this city. Keep Moving Kaukauna Forward.
Property Taxes - Taxes jumped 6.4% in 2025 driven mostly by school referenda. Rising costs and stagnant state funding continue to make it harder for municipalities to fund critical (police/fire/sanitation) services. I will continue to lobby our State Legislatures for more State aid. Affordable Senior and Low to Moderate Income Housing – Our senior population, and young families just starting out need affordable housing. We will look at the last 2 years of TIF funds to help developers fund them.
Strong residential, commercial and industrial growth will help grow the tax base while keeping tax rates in check. I am currently working with a developer on annexing 50 acres on the city’s south side to include 124 new single-family homes. We also apply for state and federal grants to help reduce the local tax impact on major infrastructure, and parks/trail projects. Every external dollar in is a taxpayer dollar saved. Performing preventative maintenance on roads avoids costly repairs later.
As mayor I have 9 department heads under me. My management style is one of collaboration and inclusivity. I foster teamwork and ensure employees from all departments feel valued and heard. I am very visible and present in our community, and I listen actively to our residents’ concerns and make decisions that are in the best interest of the community as a whole. I am very transparent in what we do as residents deserve to understand not just what we’re doing, but why.
